To give all of its students a better quality of life and make sure everyone can follow their studies in the best of way, Clermont Auvergne University (UCA) has started experimenting three arrangements since the 2024-2025 school year:

  • The sick days-pass (crédit-jours maladie)
  • The menstrual disorders days-pass (crédit-jours pour troubles menstruels)
  • The PSHE days-pass (provided by the University’s Handicap Service)

You can now report your absences through the student portal (ENT) in cases of short-term illness, menstrual disorders, or based on a medical prescription issued by the Student Health Service. These arrangements are entirely online; they are accessible from your ENT to make it easier to follow the days you took off.

These arrangements do not concern students who are enrolled in Continuing Education Degree programs, doing an internship, doctorate, or enrolled in a DU or any other double degree (IFSI, IFMK…).

The sick days-pass:

You have 4 days of authorised use linked to a sickness occasionally incapacitating that does not need special care. For the students enrolled in health degrees, the number of days allowed is decided by their department (between 2 and 4).

You can use this all throughout the year. The days are counted fully and cannot exceed two consecutive days, they only count for the university year 2025-2026.

If you ever miss a class or a test, you only need to fill in the information in your ENT for it to be justified with your teacher.

If you activate the days-pass, you may only use it for a sick day. Any use of it outside this particular context may result in a disciplinary measure.

The menstrual disorders days-pass:

This arrangement can be used by any person with menstruations, enrolled in a degree (outside of internships), or in any class outside of a Doctorate and a DU. This pass has to be activated for every first demand before the 15th of October on the ENT by downloading the information notice. No specific demand has to be done by the people who already used it during the year 2024-2025; it’s automatically renewed.

For this specific days-pass, you have 10 days of authorized use to rest while you experience menstrual pains. The days are counted fully and are only counted for the university year 2025-2026. If you cannot attend a class or a test, you only have to say it on the platform for it to be justified with your department.

If you activate the days-pass, you may only use it for menstrual disorders. Any use of it outside of this particular context may result in a disciplinary measure.

The PSHE days-pass:

This arrangement is for every student that has a handicap or a long lasting, or evolving, pathology that can limit their capacity to attend every single class of their studies. It can be used by students enrolled in a degree (outside of internships), or in any classes outside of a doctorate and a DU.

This pass is activated by the University’s Handicap Service (SUH) and can be activated at any time throughout the year.

With this, you have 10 days of authorized absence during the university year. The days are always counted full and count only towards the year 2025-2026. If you are absent from a test or a class, you only have to signal yourself on the platform for it to be considered justified by your scholarity or your teacher.
